About Korea Checklist
My name is Seungyeop Yeom (염승엽). I live in Goyang, just outside Seoul, and I read Korean as a native speaker. That is the whole reason this site exists.
Most of what changes for visitors to Korea is announced in Korean first, and often only in Korean: carrier rate cards, Seoul Metropolitan Government fare notices, Korea Immigration Service bulletins, KORAIL timetables. English travel pages copy each other and go stale. Every guide here is checked against the Korean-language original instead.
I publish decisions, not overviews: which eSIM to buy, which transit card, which neighborhood, and what to do when the official English page is out of date. Each article lists the sources behind it and the date they were last checked. When a fare or rule changes, the article is re-checked and that date moves.
If a number here is wrong, I want to know. Send the page and the source you saw to my contact address and I will re-verify it.
I do not accept payment for placement. Some links are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
